Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
When selecting special event table linens, consider fabric, size, fit, and maintenance needs. Polyester options tend to be durable, wrinkle-resistant, and easy to clean, making them practical for events with multiple uses. Linen or linen-blend options offer an upscale look with a natural drape, but may require more care. Round linens are ideal for circular tables, while rectangular options pair with banquet or buffet setups. Floor-length drapes on round tables help achieve a formal silhouette, whereas fitted rectangular tablecloths ensure a tidy, secure fit for folding tables. Lace and decorative runners provide textural contrast and can highlight color schemes without overwhelming the tabletop.
Fit and sizing are critical: measure your table diameter for round tables and length for rectangular designs. Add appropriate drop length for a polished look, typically 12–20 inches for formal settings. Color coordination with event decor—tableware, chair covers, and centerpieces—helps create cohesive themes. For reusable use, prioritize fabrics that resist stains and wrinkles and that are machine washable or easily dry-cleaned. Finally, consider packaging and shipping, especially for rental or event-planning businesses, ensuring linens arrive clean, pressed, and ready to deploy.
